Anyone who knows me can attest to my scarf obsession. Whether I’m in my office or out to dinner, I have a scarf artfully draped around my neck. Sometimes it is a print. Sometimes it is a hot color. During the winter, I favor a black cashmere scarf with subtle suede fringe. In the summer, It is all about crisp linens. Why? Whatever the season, a long drapey scarf is the ultimate layering piece that magically dresses everything up.  There are three basic ways to wear a scarf: the wrap and drape, loose drape and the loop. The goal is to achieve “thrown on glamour.”

MOM TIP: If you are feeling fat, a long scarf is a great way to hide the bloat
